If you're looking for art that strikes the perfect balance of pattern and form, imagination and illustration, look no further than the brilliant works of John Park. Born in Seoul, Korea, John immigrated to the United States as a child. His passion for art led him to study at the Rhode Island School of Design, where he studied classical drawing, painting, sculpture, with a special focus on anatomy. Armed with a BA in illustration, John Park now works to fuse classical influences with the more urban aesthetic of the New Contemporary art movement.
Stationed in Los Angeles, John Park has been a defining artist in today's West Coast aesthetic. His graphic, surreal art has been seen in many prominent galleries and festivals including the Los Angeles County Museum, Coachella, Burning Man, and most recently, he returned to create live at Lightning in a Bottle (LIB); a music and arts festival in southern California. You may have seen John creating latest work, rendered live over the course of the festival near the Crossroads Stage -
John began the piece with grey undertones and line work.
